Asus is soon to host a regional launch event for its 2014 devices in Jakarta next month, which include the new ZenFone lineup, PadFone mini, their new ZenUI, and perhaps, the new Fonepads as well.

We’ve already know the official retail price for the PadFone mini to be RM1,249, but it seems that the prices of the three ZenFones have been revealed as well, and they are looking aggressive.

The image is of a photocopied brochure with the prices marked with a felt-tip pen. How official or accurate this is, remains to be seen, but at least we have some figures now. It was posted by Globaltek IT Solution’ at its Facebook page and was subsequently shared by Joshua Wong to the folks at Amanz, Soya Cincau, and

All three ZenFone versions vary by display sizes (4-, 5-, and 6-inch), battery capacity, camera resolution, and their Intel-based Atom Clover Trail+ system on chip (SoC). The 4-inch version is on model number Z2520, 1.2GHz dual-core Saltwell CPU, while the other two is on model number Z2580, 2GHz dual-core Saltwell CPU. All three are on the 32nm fabrication technology, and not the new 22nm found in Bay Trail processors (Silvermont CPUs) like the one in Asus Transformer Book T100.

Asus ZenFone 4 is priced most aggressively at just RM299. RM599 will be the cost for ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6 is at RM899. Apparently they will all be available in April, but more details will be known during the regional launch next month.

Reuben Thum's love for technology dates as far back as the Sega Master System era when people are still rocking out on an 8-bit "Dixie's Land" chiptune. His gig as a bartender later did not douse his interest for tech one bit, as he then dedicated a few years of his life assisting users to achieve the same love, deep in the bowels of the tech support world. Currently, he just feels weirded out writing about himself from a third person's perspective.
